Just a few pages into the book and I was hooked. I like Pastor Jack and I hope to read more of his adventures. Pastor Jack is a caring pastor who has a knack of finding himself embroiled in mysteries. As an ex-cop he can't stay out of the chase.The book was a quick read and a fine story. The comments and thoughts that a pastor might have of those in his congregation were spot on.

The second installment of the Pastor Jeff series has our hero facing yet another dead body, this time floating in the church baptismal. The murdered girl was one of the popular teens, beautiful and well-liked, but yet somebody killed her. As Jeff (and Chief John) try to get to the bottom of this mystery, they're up against the State Police, and Jeff also finds resistance with his boss, who is threatening him with being kicked out of the church is he continues investigating this. Lots of twists and turns, some quite shocking, rip apart this small Pennsylvania town. As more and more personal and discreet details become common knowledge, and despite their best efforts, the body count increases. And I just love the way Pastor Jeff shares his inner thoughts and opinions with us readers! I really these books, and can't wait to start the third one. I pretty much have to start immediately because the last section of this story is a lead-up into book #3, then poof, this book ends! I hate cliffhangers!
I really enjoyed the book. It has amazing and Suttle humor and lots of personality. It is a real page turner!!.
This is one of those books where you are laughing one minute and on the edge of your seat the next. What a fun read. Ready for more.
